Fletcher's Jewelry, a staple on the Covington square, has been in business in Newton County since 1932 and has been family owned for four generations.
Before moving to Covington the company was located in Thompson for several years, according to owner J.R. "Jim" Fletcher, whose grandfather started the business.
Fletcher's offers watch and jewelry repair, engraving and general jewelry services. They also have a large variety of jewelry, watches and gifts for sale. They do not, however, do appraisals.
Fletcher's is located on 1113 Washington Street on the square. They can be reached at (770) 786-2955. They are open from 9 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday. They are closed on Sunday.
