The parent company of Food Lion announced Wednesday the Conyers location for the grocery store chain would be closing within 30 days. The Conyers Food Lion, located on Ga. Highway 20, behind the Stock Market and Sonic, opened July 2010 and employed about 60 people. The closure is part of a move to close 113 Food Lion stores that were "underperforming Food Lion stores, primarily in markets in which the company has the least store density," according to the company press release.
