Candlelight Bridals, located on 1192 Clark St. in Covington, has deep roots in the community. Since 1962, Candlelight Bridals has been offering bridal and prom services to the community.

Gigi, the current owner of Candlelight Bridals got into the business through a friend.

“I was interested in owning a business. I got into the dress industry through a friend. I bought the business from her,” Gigi said.

What motivates Gigi is her passion for fashion, which drew her into owning a dress shop.

“I love fashion. I love the challenge of turning something drab into something beautiful,” she said. “I am a designer. I have been sewing since I was four years old.”

Being in downtown Covington has been a wonderful experience for Gigi.

“I just love the people here. This is truly a hometown for me. People are nice and friendly. It’s just a great community to be in,” she said.

Candlelight Bridals provides dresses, tuxedos, jewelry and more for prom, weddings and other special occasions. What makes Candlelight Bridals unique is its full tailor studio.

“We have a tailor studio where customers can receive tailoring adjustments on their outfits. It’s a hard to find service in most dress shops,” Gigi said.

In addition to tailoring services, customers can pick from a full range of styles and top designer gowns. There’s everything from classic to modern along with an impressive collection of jewelry, purses and shoes. 

The staff at Candlelight Bridals is dedicated and friendly. “We have the best employees around. We try to make customers leave with a smile on their face,” Gigi said. From the Facebook reviews, many Covington residents enjoy their experiences at Candlelight Bridals.
