COVINGTON, Ga. — Interested students will get a chance to check out the Perimeter College location of Georgia State University in Covington, and the other locations of the college, during a series of open houses.
The event at the Newton County campus will be April 11.
A resource fair featuring study options and financial aid information, as well as a panel discussion with current Perimeter College students, will highlight the events.
Guests also may learn more about specific student success programs focused on first-generation, international and dual enrollment students. Prospective students even can apply and submit financial aid forms on the spot.
“Our open houses offer the perfect opportunity for prospective students to visit Perimeter campuses, learn more about our academic pathways and hear directly from students, alums and faculty,” Nancy Kropf, dean of Perimeter College at Georgia State, said.
“The hope is prospective students and their families will leave with a better understanding of our focus on student success,” Kropf said. “The faculty and staff of Perimeter College are proud that we are the home to more freshmen than any other college in Georgia.”
Each Georgia State University Perimeter College open house will be 6-8 p.m.
In addition to the Newton event, open houses will take place at Decatur on April 17, Clarkston on April 18 and Dunwoody on April 25.
Check-in and campus tours begin at 5:30 p.m. Students are asked to register to attend the open houses. Visit Perimeter College’s website at perimeter.gsu.edu for details.
