"We do all types of awards, plaques, trophies," said store owner Scott Childers. "We do company shirts. We do school T-shirts. We do embroidery for shoes and just about anything you want."

Ludies Est (which stands for Embroidery, Screen printing and Trophies) is a spinoff of Ludie's Sporting Goods of Covington. Started by Childers' father, whose nickname was Ludie, the shop has been in business for about 27 years and is now run by Childers' brother.

Ludies Est has a wide selection of colorful T-shirts, long sleeved shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts and baseball hats that can be customized with your church group, sports team or company's logo. Customers can also bring in their own clothing items or blankets to be embroidered.

"Most of the shirts that we screen print, we provide,"
Childers said.

Ludies Est carries Jersey Gildan, Anvil and Fruit of the Loom brand clothing.

The base charge for a screen printing order is $45 plus an additional charge depending on the number of items in the order. Childers said customers can usually get 12 T-shirts screen printed for about $8 to $10 for each shirt.

Embroidery is priced by the number of stitches required for each personalization. Plaque and trophy engravings range from $15 and up.

"We have done them up to $150 for a plaque if they get a big one," Childers said.

Turnaround time for orders is about a week.

"We try to get everything out in a week once everything is finalized and we stay pretty close to that," he said.
