Hammer’s Getaway has been said to be the best nightlife establishment in Jackson. The half restaurant and half dance club is home to the largest dance floor in the area.

 "We have a really good dance crowd," said owner Dave Norris. "If you enjoy dancing, we are the place to be."

 With plenty of nighttime activities, Hammer’s has a little something for everyone.

 Hammer’s aims to please the crowds with its classic and southern rock ‘n’ roll genre, Eight big screen televisions throughout the restaurant play up to four games at any given time. Hammer’s also has three professional-sized pool tables.

 Along with its full-service bar of spirits, beer and wine, Hammer’s offers food in the restaurant.

 On the opposite side of the establishment in a non-smoking area is "Papa Milano’s," a pizza joint that serves pies, calzones and stromboli cooked by Dave Watson.

  If you aren’t in the mood for pizza, Hammer’s also offers steaks and wings.

 So whether you are hungry or looking for a good night out, Hammer’s can provide it. Coming soon to Hammer’s will be a comedy night. After purchasing two drinks, if you tell a joke and get a laugh, Hammer’s will buy your next drink. On Friday night, Mellissa Nash provides karaoke for all aspiring singers. Saturday nights bring either a D.J or live music.

 Hammer’s also works with various taxi services to insure their patrons have a safe trip home. One duo service will drive you home while another designated driver takes your car home.

 "We have a super friendly staff and we like to get to know our customers," Norris said. "We treat our customers like family."
