Odyssey Batteries has a battery to fit every need from simple AA batteries for flashlights to marine batteries for boats.

"We have auto, marine, golf cart, wheelchair, alkaline batteries, drills, flashlights," Owner Keith Moore said. "We have everything from A to Z."

Odyssey Batteries opened in Covington in September 2008 and is a wholesale and retail battery seller. Moore said his independently-owned store outperforms other stores for two reasons: quality and price.

"I have 30 years of experience in the battery business, so even though to most people all batteries look the same, I know the best brands and highest quality," he said. "Also, I guarantee to save people money. I always ask ‘How cheap can I sell these batteries and still make money.’ I hope people will come in to my store and save money."

In addition to selling batteries, Odyssey Batteries also properly recycles batteries. Batteries must be disposed of properly to prevent contamination of landfills, and Moore said his company accepts all batteries for recycling and even pays for some used batteries depending on the type and current market.
