MCDONOUGH, Ga. - The Lady Eagles dismantled the Ola Lady Mustangs in a 70-37 victory and kept their recent stretch of remarkable play going.

It was once again the Lady Eagles consistent trio of seniors leading the way, with Dasia Burgess leading the charge this time.  Burgess had an outstanding showing and finished just three rebounds short of a double-double.

Burgess's final stat line included a team-leading 23 points along with seven rebounds, two steals and one block. T'Niah Douglas followed Burgess's excellent scoring night with 14 points of her own, but it was Douglas's defensive numbers that really stood out in the box score.

Douglas finished with four rebounds, seven steals, and a block to help keep that high level of defense that Lady Eagles head coach Gladys King always strives for with her team.

Following Douglas and rounding out the double-digit scorers for the Lady Eagles was Alysee Dobbs, who finished with 12 points and six rebounds.

Burgess, Douglas and Dobbs seem to be finding their groove at the right time as region play is just around the corner. Lizzie Teasley has also had solid back-to-back nights as she finished with eight points and three rebounds in the contest.

With the Lady Eagles starting to click on all cylinders, their region schedule could not get back started at a better time for them.

After a game against Heard County on Monday, Dec. 30, the Lady Eagles will take a week off before starting back with their region schedule against Luella at home on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
