Darlene Taylor, age 73 of Conyers, died Saturday, December 11, 2010.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Felton and Ruth Taylor and sister, Marie Dorsey.  She is survived by brothers, Gene Taylor, Conyers, Wayne Taylor, Crawfordville, Sidney Taylor, Social Circle; sisters, Nina Gaddis, Jackson, Zelma Turner, Stockbridge; 14 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and nephews.  Darlene graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School and received a B.A. degree from Georgia State University and a M.Ed from the University of Georgia.  She worked for the State of Georgia, Division of Rehabilitation Services for 35 years.  She started as a secretary, served as a Rehabilitation Counselor, District Director for five Metro counties, Statewide Director of Field Operations, Deputy Director, and Director of the Division.  She was a former member of Glenwood Hills Baptist Church and is a current member of First Baptist Church of Conyers.  Services will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11 at Scot Ward's Harry White Chapel with Dr. Ron Long officiating; interment will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memories, Decatur, GA.  The family will receive friends Monday, December 13, 2010 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Uplift Ministries, Inc., 1944 Paces Landing Court NW, Conyers, GA  30012 or GA Chapter American Parkinson Disease Association, P.
