COVINGTON, Ga. — Eastside starts its 2021 season on the road at Winder-Barrow on Friday, and they’ll be looking for the same result as last season’s match-up.
A dependable rushing attack led by former Eagle Sincere Johnson helped Eastside take down the Bulldogs 27-14. First-year head coach Jay Cawthon hopes his team can replicate that performance and pick up his first win as the new leader of the program.
Other notable match-ups slated for Friday night:
• Alcovy vs. Newton; Sharp Stadium in Covington.
• Social Circle vs. Providence Christian; Redskins Stadium in Social Circle.
Kickoff for all GHSA games is set for 7:30 p.m.
