Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Lee Roberts Price was born in Covington, Georgia on September 2, 1943, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Rufus (Hattie Mae Wise) Roberts. She had three brothers to precede her in death; Mr. Charlie Roberts, Mr. Willie L. Roberts and Mr. Clarence E. Roberts.
Ruby Joined the Springhill United Methodist Church at an early age and served faithfully throughout her life. She attended R. L. Cousins School and graduated in 1963. One of her many passions was cooking, she loved to see the smiles on the faces of her family and friends, when they ate her cooking. Her heart would be bursting with so much joy. She also loved fishing as a past time.
Her first marriage was to the late Mr. Jimmy Lee Shy, to this union two children were born, Gail and Dennis. She later in life married the late Mr. Tommie James Price in 1987, where she nurtured eight stepchildren.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Terry (Gail) Nichols, Lithonia, Georgia, one son, Mr. & Mrs. Dennis (Vickie) Shy, Covington, Georgia, three beautiful grandchildren; Miss Larina Shy, Miss Chermane Nichols and Miss Chanease Nichols, four sisters; Mrs. Jeanette Perryman, Scottdale, Georgia, Mr. & Mrs. Frank (Carrie) Mathis, Mrs. Mary Sims, both of Covington, Georgia and Mrs. Lillie R. Roberts, Conyers, Georgia, one brother, Mr. & Mrs. Roosevelt (Margie) Roberts, Covington, Georgia, one aunt, Mrs. Alzie Davis, Cincinnati, Ohio and a host of precious nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
