Parents of elementary school students have been wondering how proposed rezoning of Newton County elementary schools will affect their students. School system officials have released the boundary descriptions to let them know just that. Here are the proposed boundaries:

The boundary for Elementary School #15 is as follows:
Begin at the Rockdale County line, at the intersection of Haynes Creek Circle and Dial Mill Road. Continue southwest to a point south of Creek Breeze Way but north of Hickory Hill Drive. Continue west to the Rockdale County line, following Rockdale line northeast to a point north of Buckeye Trail. Continue northeast and then proceed in southeasterly direction along the Walton County/ I-20 intersection. Continue southwest to a point south of County Line Road East. Continue northwest to the intersection of U.S. Highway 278 and Social Circle Road. Continue west along the north side of U.S. Highway 278 to the intersection of U.S. Highway 278 and Elks Club Road (does not include U.S. Highway 278 or Goshen Way Road).
