Two school buses were in a minor fender bender at Alcovy High School Monday.

Sherri Davis-Viniard, director of public relations for Newton County Schools, said around 3:25 p.m. a school bus with 16 students on board rolled back into another school bus with 38 students.

Davis-Viniard said none of the students were injured. Officials with Georgia State Patrol were called on the scene to investigate the accident. The buses were released shortly thereafter, she said.

One student was released off the bus and taken home by parents, while other students boarded the school bus and were taken home. The buses left around 4:45 p.m.
