Georgia Piedmont Technical College's (GPTC) DeKalb Campus, on North Indian Creek Drive, is back open Thursday, March 23, after a complete loss of power Wednesday, due to Tuesday night's storm.

According to a statement from Zaundra D. Brown, director of public relations and information for GPTC, power was restored last night and the facilities staff checked the buildings. The I.T. staff checked the networks and the janitorial service was on-site last night to clean the buildings.

All classes will resume as scheduled.

The campus was closed all day Wednesday because of the power outage. Phones at the location were also impacted. All other campus locations were open and operational and updates were provided on the college's website

GPTC has 12 learning center locations in DeKalb, Newton, Rockdale and Morgan counties.
