In March the Georgia Southern chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society for college freshmen, initiated 405 students. To be eligible for membership, initiates had to earn at minimum GPA of 3.6. Included from Covington were Rebecca Rollolazo and Katelyn Yeomans, from Social Circle Annalee Ashley and Shannon Rhodes and from Mansfield James Kelly.
