The Social Circle Planning Commission is recommending unanimously that the Social Circle City Council deny a requested variance from the city’s development code. This was submitted for a nearly completed 1-million-plus square-foot warehouse at the intersection of East Hightower Trail and Social Circle Parkway now widely believed to be a possible site for a federal immigration detention center.
