Thomas & Hutton opens new office in Covington

COVINGTON, Ga. - Thomas & Hutton hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on March 11 at its new location at 2127 Usher St., in Covington. The public was welcome to tour its office space, meet the staff and enjoy light refreshments. 

With deep roots and extensive experience in the Atlanta Area, Thomas & Hutton’s Covington office is led by Atlanta Regional Director, Garrett Phelps, PE. Phelps has 20 years of experience in the planning, design and management of land development and civil engineering projects including residential, mixed-use, office-institutional, commercial and municipal projects. 

Matt Dunagin is leading Thomas & Hutton’s Environmental Department in the Covington and Atlanta area. He has 11 years of experience in managing infrastructure projects in transportation, utilities, water/wastewater, and natural gas. 

Dunagin and Phelps are joined by Andy White, PE; Landscape Architect, Adam Kirk, PLA; and Designers Zachary Senn and Nicholas Wilson. The team will assist Phelps and Dunagin in providing the services of Thomas & Hutton on the local level and help foster Thomas & Hutton’s presence in the Covington and Atlanta area. 

One of Thomas & Hutton’s core values is giving back to the communities where they work. In celebration of the opening of the Covington office, Thomas & Hutton presented a donation to the Newton County Friends of the Miracle League. The Miracle League maintains an ADA Compliant recreational field and play area that provides local children with disabilities a location to play sports. The Miracle League Representative and Chairman of the Board received the donation and showed sincere appreciation for Thomas & Hutton’s drive to support and be a part of the local community.
