What they do:

Bell’s Grocery is a small, family owned business. It’s a discount store that buys closeout and overrun products. Don’t jump to any assumptions – Bell’s is always stocked with fresh meat, fresh milk, fresh bread, fresh eggs, and more, all coming straight from the vendor. The store is owned by Chris and Penny Bell.

What’s unique:
“A lot of people say it’s like a scavenger hunt. You never know what you’re going to find. You could find anything from groceries to patio furniture that’s been discontinued. People sometimes come in everyday just to see what’s new,” said Melissa Hanson, store and office manager.

Favorite Part: “My favorite part of running the store is probably the fact that we never know what we’ll have. Today, we got some really nice dishes. We’ve even sold mattresses before. It’s really fun to see what we’re going to get,” said Hanson.

How many years in the business:
Bell’s has been in business since August of 1990, and June will mark Hanson’s 17th year.
