Velma B. Skipper, age 78 of Conyers, died Sunday January 1, 2012. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dr. James Skipper, Conyers; son & daughter-in-law, Jacob Thomas & Alison Skipper, Milton; daughter, Zena Skipper, Cumming; grandchildren, Jared Skipper, Makenna Skipper, Hannah Grace Skipper; brother, Bill Brannon, Barnesville; sister, Catherine Brock, Griffin; mother-in-law, Kathleen Skipper, Griffin; numerous nieces & nephews. Mrs. Skipper was a loving mother and grandmother with a quick wit.
