The Conyers Rotary Club honored the following Rockdale 2012 STAR students and their teachers, for having the top SAT scores in their high school, in a ceremony Thursday. Rockdale County High School student Lacey Stansell, who chose Rockdale Career Academy English teacher Joanna Anglin, hopes to attend Clemson or Georgia Tech to study architecture or civil engineering. Rockdale Magnet School of Science and Technology student Shoman Kasbekar, who chose environmental sciences teacher Susan Gary, hopes to attend Stanford, Vanderbilt or Rice University to study environmental sciences.
