A brother and sister duo was arrested for allegedly stealing a Conyers man cellphone Tuesday, Jan 13.

Decatur residents Yasene Cummings, 20, and Mariya Cummings, 18, are being charged with robbery for allegedly stealing a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from a 24-year-old man in the 1500 block of Harvest Grove Lane, the Woodland Trace Apartment Complex.

Around 11:41 a.m., the 24-year-old was headed to a friend's residence when he was approached by three individuals, two males and one female, according to the deputy's report.

"They started fighting him and then took his rented Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cell phone," the deputy wrote.

The victim claimed to have known two of his alleged attackers, the Cummings siblings. The group allegedly paid a visit to his residence earlier and told the victim's parents that they were going to "f--- him up," according to the police report.

The group got away from the area in a red early model Ford Mustang, the victim claimed.

On Jan. 14, a search warrant was obtained for the home address in DeKalb County and they were arrested, says Rockdale County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cpl. Michael Camp.

They were taken to the Rockdale County Jail. They both bonded out for $9,000.

The other member of the trio, also a DeKalb County resident, was interviewed by deputies, but they determined he had no involvement with the physical altercation or the theft of the phone.

The cellphone, which retails for about $600, was returned to the victim.
