To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to congratulate Alcovy Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Horace J. Johnson Jr. on his recent election and installation as president of the Council of Superior Court Judges of Georgia.

All Georgians will benefit from Judge Johnson’s service as president of the council. He is no stranger to judicial leadership, having previously served as chair of the council’s Mandatory Continuing Judicial Education Committee and as a member of its Indigent Defense Committee. He also presides over a Parental Accountability Court, addressing child support matters in the Alcovy Circuit (Newton and Walton counties).

By accepting this post, Judge Johnson further demonstrates his commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish him well in this new capacity of statewide leadership.

Sincerely,

Robert J. “Bob” Kauffman
President, State Bar of Georgia
