Sheila Bates Adamson

Sheila Bates Adamson went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 27. Mrs. Adamson was born in 1949 in Covington and attended Newton High School where she was active in many school and extracurricular activities. She attended and graduated from the University of Georgia. In the late 1970s she and her husband John opened Canterbury Antique Reproductions Ltd. Mrs. Adamson was preceded in death by her husband John Randal Adamson III, her parents Rosa Capes Bates and James Lamar Bates and brother Bob Bates.

Surviving are sisters Joyce Williams of Oxford, Linda Williams of Las Vegas; brothers Jimmy Bates of Oxford, Gene Bates of Mansfield; a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at Northside Independent Methodist Church, 590 Mount Vernon Highway, Atlanta.
