Ms. Sara B. Stubbs passed away on April 9, 2015. She was born in Newton County on June 16, 1927. She was a lifelong resident of Covington.

Ms. Stubbs was predeceased by her father, Emmett Biggers; mother, Clara Biggers; sisters, “Mibby” Lot and Hazel McClure; brother, Hill Biggers; and her husband, Tharon Stubbs, who was a decorated Purple Heart Veteran of World War II.

Ms. Stubbs is survived by her children, Christy Baker and Rick F. Stubbs, Sr. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heather B. Autry, Rick F. Stubbs, Jr. Kim Stubbs, Raife Baker and Travis Stubbs. She is also survived by great grandchildren: Califf Carnes, Bryant Autry, Micah Stubbs, Christopher Autry, Lilly Stubbs, Allison Mitchell, Braydon Mitchell and McKinley Allison.

Ms. Stubbs retired from Bibb Manufacturing in Porterdale. She loved her family and loved spending all her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spring, picnics, taking long walks on her dirt road, sewing, picking jonquils and taking care of all her pets she loved so much.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Newton County Animal Shelter, 210 Lower River Road, Covington, Georgia 30014. The surviving family will remember and honor her in a private memorial service at a futre date to be determined.
