        Mrs. Maurice Usher was born September 17, 1944 in Rockdale County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Jimmie (Lillian) Zanders. She attended school in Rockdale County and soon graduated from J.P. Carr in 1962. She joined Old Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia at an early age. She used her talent of singing in the choir for years. She was known to bring the house down. She would also serve as an Usher. Maurice was employed at Sealy Mattress Company for over 30 years.

      Maurice married the love of her life, Mr. James Usher on December 31, 1968; they were united for 45 years. God blessed them with twins, Jametta and Jamycko.

         She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mr. James Usher, her children; Mr. & Mrs. Andre (Yvette) Giddens, Mr. Eric Giddens, Ms. Jametta Usher, Mr. & Mrs. Jamycko Usher, step-daughter, Ms. Allison Usher, granddaughter, Miracle Usher, step-granddaughter, Amelia Duncan, one sister, Mr. & Mrs. Sam (Mae Lou) Hartsfield, three brothers; Mr. Jimmie Zanders, Mr. Waymon Zanders and Mr. & Mrs. Willie (Charlotte) Zanders, all of Conyers, Georgia, one aunt, Mrs. Allean Hamm and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, she had two very dear friends who called and visited her throughout her illness, Mrs. Sylvia Sawyers and Mrs. Sara Jean Garlington.
