    Mr. Emmitt Glen Oliver, Sr. was born May 9, 1942 in Chase City, Virginia, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Floyd (Susie) Oliver. He attended school in Chase City, Virginia in his early years and graduated from high school in Yonkers, New York. He joined Good Hope Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia in 1994 after relocating from Spring Valley, New York.

    He spent his senior years in Covington, Georgia, where he was a Transport Technician (Truck Driver) which he retired in 2002.

     He passed away on March 16, 2014 at the age of 71. He  was preceded in death by three brothers; Mr. Junius Oliver, Mr. Robert Oliver and Mr. Clarence Oliver.

    Emmitt loved his family. Emmitt married the love of his life, Mrs. Evelyn V. Oliver on April 21, 1979, they would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary next month. God blessed them with one son, Tyrone C. Oliver.

    Emmitt leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Evelyn V. Oliver, Covington, Georgia, sons; Mr. & Mrs. Tyrone C. (Aimee) Oliver, Lilburn, Georgia, Mr.& Mrs. Emmitt G. (Erainia)  Oliver, Jr., Covington, Georgia, daughters; Mr. & Mrs. Joe (Sherri Clark)  Dickerson, Mr. & Mrs. Mike (Rhonda Oliver) Young, all of Yonkers, New York,  Mr. & Mrs. Larry A. (Sonia A.) Stewart, Sr., Covington, Georgia and Mr. & Mrs. Sam (Lorie Hayes) Bugre, Yonkers, New York, twenty-one grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
