       Mother Mary Matthews was born on June 4, 1933 in Pitt County, NC to Mr. & Mrs. Roy (Bettie Bell) Stevenson.

      She is survived by children; Mr. & Mrs. Milton (Belinda) Bryant, Mr. & Mrs. Dwayne (Bettie) White, Mr. Gregory Bryant, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony (Vicki) Bryant, Ms. Lillie Matthews, Mr. & Mrs. Randolph (Ida)  Norrington, Mr. & Mrs. Brian (Yvonne) Matthews, Mr. & Mrs. James (Karen) Matthews, Jr. and Mr. William Matthews, her siblings; Elder & Mrs. Johnny (Mary) Stevenson, Mr. & Mrs. Leonard (Millie) Stevenson, Mr. & Mrs. Ted (Mabel) Williams, Mr. & Mrs. Franklin (Daisy) Wells, Ms. Hazel Edwards, Ms. Etta Stevenson and Mr. Charles Stevenson and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
