Mary A. Burch of Covington, 92, passed away Nov. 11. Mrs. Burch was a choir member and longtime Sunday School teacher at both Porterdale and Oxford Baptist churches. She was a very Godly woman who loved the Lord and was involved in the homebound ministry, visiting the shut-ins. Mrs. Burch enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Herbert Burch; parents, Benson and Ruby (Piper) Adams; sister, Roberta "Bobbie" Ridling; and her brothers, Richard Adams, Carroll Adams, John Adams, Bill Adams and Edgar Adams.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Don Turner; grandchildren, Bryan Todd Davis and wife, Brooke, Kellye Davis Williams and husband, Benny, Kathy Turner Lynch, and Caroline Davis Hargrove and husband, Chad; great-grandchildren, Leigh, Addye, Melissa and Carlie Williams, Brett, Bryanna and Kyle Davis, Emma, Helena, Cora and Houston Hargrove, Patrick Sims, Chasity and Courtney Lynch; great-great-grandsons, Jonathan Green and Nolan Coles; brother, Larry Adams; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Madden; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burch will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at Oxford Baptist Church, with Dr. Alan Posey officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
