CONYERS (AP) - A Conyers kindergarten teacher wounded in a shooting outside a Rockdale County private school has been released from a hospital.
WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/3zVcAZ) that Kimya Roberson is out of the hospital and that the condition her 10-year-old daughter, who was also hit by the gunfire, is improving.
Authorities say a gunman pulled up behind Roberson as she was getting out of her vehicle at Little Mountain Christian Academy and started firing on Sept. 20.
Police charged her estranged husband, Terence Roberson, with two counts of aggravated assault. Authorities say Roberson had just filed for divorce from him.
Her daughter, Corrine Williams, remains hospitalized at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Relatives say she no longer needs breathing tubes and is responsive to others.
