ATLANTA - David J. LeValley, special agent in charge, FBI Atlanta Field Office, requests the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the individuals responsible for a recent series of violent commercial robberies around metro Atlanta.

Between the dates of Oct.7 and Nov. 8, multiple armed robberies targeting Asian business owners have taken place in the Atlanta-Metropolitan area.  The robberies all appear to have been committed by black males, approximately 5-foot-8-inches to 6-foot in height, with thin builds, in their late teens to mid-20s.  In several of the robberies, the robbers wear the same clothing.  The robberies are described in further detail below:

On Oct. 7, at approximately 1:12 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at Spring Spa, located at 1996 Manchester St. NE, Atlanta.  Two black males entered the business and acted like customers.  The men requested massages.  The men then brandished handguns and demanded that the employee open the door to the office.  The employee fled, but the robbers were able to gain access to the office and ransacked it.  Another employee told the men that she had called the police.  Both men then fled the business and got into a red four-door vehicle that was driven by a third black male.  Ultimately the two robbers stole a purse with contents and a cellular telephone.

On Oct. 10, at approximately 10:12 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Cedar Massage, located at 6035 Bakers Ferry Road, Atlanta.  Two black males entered the business brandishing handguns and demanded money from the employee.  While one of the robbers took the money from the cash drawer, the other robber walked through the business and stole several victims' purses containing money, cellular phones, and other belongings.  The robbers then fled the business.  One of the robbers carried his gun in his left hand and wore what appeared to be a gold watch on his left wrist.  His gun was a black semi-automatic handgun.

On Oct. 13, at approximately 11:19 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at QI Clay Sauna, located at 7130 Buford Highway #A107, Atlanta.  Two black males entered the business and acted like customers.  Minutes later, both men brandished handguns and demanded money.  One of the robbers struck an employee twice in the head with his handgun.  The robbers stole money from the cash register as well as a purse.  One of the employees followed the robbers as they left the business.  The robber responded by hitting the employee then firing his gun several times.  The robbers fled the area in a red or orange sedan.  One of the robbers wore a sweatshirt or jacket with the words “Dope Sport” printed on the back.

On Oct. 20, at approximately 7:42 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Lush Nails and Spa, located at 3529 Northside Parkway, Atlanta.  Two black males entered the business, brandishing handguns, and demanded money from the employee.  The robbers struck the employee as well as a customer who was standing near the cash register.  The robbers took the money from the register then stole a purse from a customer after kicking an employee in the head.  The robbers then fled the business.

On Oct. 24, at approximately 11:20 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Kochi Maru, located at 5808 Buford Highway, Doraville.  Two black males entered the business and acted like customers. One of the robbers looked at a menu while the other went to the restroom.  When the robber returned from the restroom, both robbers brandished handguns and demanded money and belongings from the employees and customers.  One of the robbers took an employee to the cash register and took the money from the register.  The other robber approached a group of customers seated at a table and stole their purses.  The robber then shot two of the customers (shooting each in the leg).  The shooter then approached the cash register area and shot an employee in her back as she knelt on the ground.  The two robbers then fled the store.  The robber who took the employee to the cash register carried his gun in his left hand and wore a gold watch on his left wrist.  His gun was a black semi-automatic handgun.  He also appeared to use a cellular phone while he was in the business.

On Oct. 29, at approximately 7:53 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Palm Beach Tan, located at 2770 Lennox Road, Atlanta.  One black male entered the business and acted like a customer by saying that he needed to get a tan.  He then pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the employee, and demanded the money from the cash register and the safe.  The robber took the money and fled the store.  He got into the passenger seat of a red four-door sedan being driven by a second person.  The robber wore a black winter hat and a gray hooded sweatshirt.

On Nov. 3, at approximately 7 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Royal Massage, located at 3375 Holcomb Bridge Road, Suite G, Norcross.  Two black males entered the business brandishing handguns, and demanded money.  The robbers stole money from the cash register as well as a purse containing cash and personal property.  One of the robbers carried his gun in his left hand.  One of the robbers wore a sweatshirt or jacket with the words “Dope Sport” printed on the back.  The two robbers then fled the business and entered a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly with a temporary registration, that was being driven by a third person.

On Nov. 8, at approximately 8 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at Empress Massage, 1960 Day Drive, Suite 300, Duluth.  Two black males entered the business and acted like customers.  Approximately one-minute later, both men brandished handguns and demanded money.  The robbers stole money from the cash register as well as a purse containing cash and personal property.  The robbers then fled the business.

On Nov. 8, at approximately 8:50 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at BD Spa and Wellness Massage, 1525 East Park Place Boulevard, Stone Mountain.  Two black males entered the business and acted like customers.  When the employee told the men the business was closed both men brandished handguns and demanded money.  One of the robbers struck a customer in the head with his handgun.  The robbers stole a wallet from a customer as well as the employee’s cellular telephone.  The robbers then fled the business.

On Nov. 10, at approximately 8:52 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at New You Massage, 710 Holcomb Bridge Road, Unit 206, Roswell.  Three black males entered the business and acted like customers.  One of the men requested a massage.  The employee told the man that he would need to pay first.  The three men then brandished handguns and demanded money.  One of the robbers went through the drawers of the front desk, while the other robbers stole wallets, phones and purses from employees and customers.  The robbers struck several of the employees and a customer in their heads with their handguns.  The robbers then exited the business, entered a red four-door sedan, and fled the area. The attached videos are from this incident.

The robbers are using a red or maroon 2004-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix with a temporary tag on it.  One of the robbers appears to have a tattoo under his right eye with multiple tattoos on his left neck.  He wears a gold watch on his left wrist.  The suspects appear to be around 5-foot-10-inches with slim builds and in their late teens to mid-20s.
