AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Auburn police say a woman who fell asleep on a set of railroad tracks was not injured when a train passed over her.

Police Capt. Lorneza Dorsey tells WTVM-TV 22-year-old Lynsey Horne of Salem is lucky to have avoided serious injury by the train Wednesday morning. Authorities say the train that passed over the woman's body was composed of two engines and a car.

Chief Paul Register tells the Opelika-Auburn News the department initially got a call about a person who may have been hit by the train. Register says Horne was taken to the East Alabama Medical Center for an evaluation.

Police say Horne has been charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. She's being held in the Lee County Detention Facility.

It's unclear if Horne has an attorney.
