Rep. Hice postpones October Telephone Town Hall
Jody Hice
Jody Hice, a Republican from Greensboro, represents Georgia's 10th District in Congress, including eastern Newton County.

U.S. Rep. Jody Hice announced, via social media, the Oct. 29 Telephone Town Hall has been postponed until further notice.

"I look forward to connecting with many of you in the near future," he wrote on Facebook.

Hice's office was unable to provide The Covington News with a new date for the Telephone Town Hall but was informed to "stay tuned."

The Telephone Town Hall would have provided constituents a legislative update, an opportunity to ask questions and participate in poll questions.

“One of the best tools that I use to communicate with 10th District constituents is Telephone Town Hall meetings,” Hice said in an Oct. 25 news release. “Hosted throughout the year, these interactive conference calls are an opportunity for me to update folks on the work I’ve been doing, talk about the issues most important to them and answer their questions. I look forward to speaking with many people from across the district on Tuesday evening.”
