ATLANTA (AP) — Forecasters say north Georgia residents can expect a mix of rain, freezing rain and sleet as a new storm system moves across the state.
In a winter weather advisory, the National Weather Service said the wintry mix was expected to spread over north Georgia Thursday morning. Cities such as Rome, Dalton and Blairsville are included in the advisory area.
Further south, forecasters say black ice could form on streets and highways in metro Atlanta and as far south as the LaGrange and Covington areas by Friday morning.
