ATLANTA (AP) — A manhunt is underway for a Georgia father police say kidnapped his 4-month old daughter and assaulted the child's mother.
Multiple news outlets report 4-month-old Bailey Jefferson was recovered late Monday after her father, Brenton Jefferson-Davis, took her from her mother's arms Monday afternoon. Atlanta police Jefferson-Davis is wanted by DeKalb Police on aggravated assault charges for beating up the child's mother before kidnapping her.
The baby was found at an acquaintance's home in DeKalb County after police say Jefferson-Davis dropped the child there after 8 p.m. The person then called police.
The child's mother did not want to be identified.
