STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (AP) — A police officer opened fire on a driver that police say struck at least two people -- including an officer -- after a fight in a bowling alley south of Atlanta spilled into the parking lot.

Police tell WSB-TV that the dispute at Pin Strikers in Clayton County quickly escalated to gunfire when the suspect tried to run over the Clayton County officer early Tuesday.

WXIA-TV reports that the officer ordered it to stop after the pedestrians were struck.

Clayton County Police Lt. Warren Toro tells WSB that the officer then fired one round into the vehicle.

Police said the driver got away. They don't know whether he sought medical attention at nearby hospitals.

Those struck by the vehicle -- including the officer -- said they didn't need medical attention.
