ATLANTA (AP) — The arrival of August is not bringing cooler weather to Georgia.
The forecast calls for high temperatures in the mid-90s through the week in metro Atlanta. Even hotter weather is expected elsewhere in the state, with temperatures ranging up to about 100 degrees. Even in the mountain region, highs are forecast to reach the low 90s.
There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms all week.
The air quality index for Atlanta on Monday is moderate.
