MACON, Ga. (AP) — Two middle Georgia men have been sentenced to life in prison in a fatal shooting that stemmed from an argument over public urination.
The Telegraph of Macon (http://bit.ly/QNjyqr ) reports 29-year-old Joseph Michael Williams and 28-year-old Bruce Hamilton were sentenced on murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges in the March 2012 death of 30-year-old Antonio Felton.
Authorities say Felton urinated between his and Hamilton's car in a parking lot of a store on Pio Nono Avenue near Interstate 75. Witnesses said they argued and Williams fired three shots at Felton's car as he began driving away. Felton was shot in his head and later died.
Prosecutors say Hamilton was also charged because he knew the shooting was going to happen, and a witness told authorities Hamilton gave Williams the gun.
