DECATUR, Ga. (AP) — Police say an attempted robbery suspect shot by a customer at a Sonic drive-in near Atlanta has died, prompting authorities to charge a teenager with murder.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://on-ajc.com/1CAdC6C) that the gunfire happened Sunday night on Flat Shoals Parkway in DeKalb County.

Police say 19-year-old Kenneth Brayboy, who was a suspect in the attempted robbery, died Monday.

Authorities say a drive-through customer who was being robbed pulled a gun and shot Brayboy. The customer isn't facing charges.

Police say another robbery suspect -- a 17-year-old boy -- faces charges including murder and criminal attempt-armed robbery.

Police say the 17-year-old was involved in the attempted robbery that resulted in Brayboy's death. They say a person can be charged with murder if someone is killed as a result of his criminal act.
