ATLANTA (AP) — There's no doubt it's going to be hot in Georgia for the rest of the week. The question is whether the heat will be record-breaking.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Wednesday and Thursday for much of the state.
High temperatures around the state are forecast to range from 96 to 103 on Wednesday, and 94 to 103 on Thursday. Little cooling is expected through the weekend.
There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms each day.
The Georgia Environmental Protection Division rates the air quality in metro Atlanta for Wednesday at 111, unhealthy for sensitive groups.
