ATLANTA (AP) — Gov. Nathan Deal says Georgia collected $1.55 billion in net taxes in October, an increase of roughly $87 million from October of 2013.
Deal said in a statement Thursday that Georgia collected roughly $834.5 million in individual income tax collections in October, up from $767.75 million that was collected in 2013.
Deal says corporate income tax collections decreased by 99.8 percent in October from October of 2013 when corporate income tax revenue totaled $30.5 million.
Deal says the state's year to date net tax collections totaled $6.24 billion, which is an increase of $298.5 million compared to this time last year.
