ATLANTA (AP) — Officials from the Atlanta Medical Center say they're giving parents take-home drug tests as part of a back-to-school substance abuse prevention program.
Officials say the medical system is distributing drug tests at its campuses in Atlanta and East Point from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officials say the drug tests are being distributed as part of a partnership with notMYKid, a national nonprofit looking to encourage parents teach children the dangers of illegal drugs, among other issues.
The organization is planning to give out more than 4,000 free home drug tests in more than a dozen U.S. cities.
