ATLANTA (AP) — Forecasters are asking drivers to use extreme caution while dense fog reduces visibility in much of north and central Georgia.

A dense fog advisory from the National Weather Service spanning most of Georgia Monday is expected to expire at 6 p.m.

Forecasters say visibility in some areas may be reduced to a quarter mile or less.

Officials say drivers should reduce their speed, use their headlights and avoid tailgating.
