ATLANTA – Commissioner Spencer R. Moore, Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS), is pleased to announce the appointment of the newest Board Member by Governor Nathan Deal. Gwinnett County resident Jennifer Britt Fleck (Britt) will assume her new role at the Agency’s May Board Meeting. The DDS Board is the general policy-making body for DDS, approving all rules and regulations endorsed by the Commissioner.
“I look forward to working with Britt along with the entire DDS Board to ensure that our Agency provides excellent customer service and enhances our customer’s experience,” said Commissioner Moore. “Her expertise in the customer service and strategic planning arenas will be extremely valuable as we continue to identify improvements.”
Fleck is the region manager for Georgia Power’s Metro West Region managing operations for five counties and approximately 175,000 customers. She sits on the Boards of Directors for both the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and Cobb’s Competitive EDGE. Fleck is a member of the Kennesaw State University (KSU) President’s Advisory Committee and sits on the KSU Foundation Board of Trustees.
“I am honored to have this opportunity,” commented Fleck. “Driving and driver services are a vital component of our citizen’s daily lives, and I am looking forward to being involved in any aspect that will help, improve or enhance the ability of Georgians to navigate our roads and do it safely.”
Fleck earned a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Business Administration from KSU. Fleck and her husband, John, have three children and reside in Gwinnett County.
