GEORGIA - The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) have awarded the Driver Record and Integrated Vehicle Enterprise System (DRIVES) contract to Fast Enterprises, LLC. Fast Enterprises has a proven track record of on-time and on-budget delivery, completing projects both in the State of Georgia and across the nation. The DRIVES project was initiated to modernize the current DOR Tag & Title system and the DDS Driver's License system.
DRIVES will be developed and implemented in two phases. The first phase, scheduled for completion in the spring of 2019, will replace the Title and Registration System utilized by DOR and the 159 County Tax Commissioners and their Tag Offices. Phase two is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2020 and will replace the DDS Driver's License System.
"The Department of Revenue is excited to begin working with Fast Enterprises on the upcoming DRIVES project. We look forward to implementing a system that will improve performance and provide efficiencies in service to our citizens," said Georgia Department of Revenue Commissioner Lynne Riley.
DDS Commissioner Spencer R. Moore adds, "While DDS currently offers many online services (renewals, changing an address, etc.) collaborating on this technology upgrade will expand and enhance these services -- simplifying the customer's interaction with us. It is also prudent that we have consistent customer data and improve the accuracy of driver information between the two agencies that support driver functions."
