ATLANTA (AP) — A new museum highlighting historic and modern struggles for equality is scheduled to open to the public.
The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is set to open Monday in downtown Atlanta.The museum will showcase the civil rights movement and modern human rights struggles separately, but also aims to show how they're related.
The museum will feature both permanent and rotating exhibits.
The opening is slated to feature several speakers, including Democratic Georgia congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis.
