ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia emergency management officials say they expect a tropical depression to bring more heavy rain to the state, but no major damage has been reported so far.

Georgia Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman Lisa Janak said Tuesday morning that authorities have received reports of some trees down, localized flooding and isolated power outages after Beryl swept across the southern part of the state.

Georgia Power reported late Monday night that power had been restored to all but 144 customers on Wilmington Island.

Beryl has been downgraded to a tropical depression, but continued to dump heavy rain on parts of south Georgia early Tuesday. Forecasters project Beryl will leave Georgia early Wednesday morning, when the center of the system is expected to either cross into South Carolina or head out to sea.
