SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) — A sheriff's office in suburban Atlanta says four people have been killed and one wounded in a shooting at a home northeast of the city.
Forsyth County sheriff's Deputy Robin Regan says officers initially found three people dead and two wounded in the Wednesday morning shooting, and one of the two hurt later died.
Maj. Rick Doyle of the sheriff's office says the suspected shooter was one of those wounded. It wasn't clear whether the suspect or the other person had died.
Doyle says the suspect is known among officers from previous arrests.
The area where authorities think the shooting occurred, on Old Atlanta Road about 30 miles outside the city, includes some of metro Atlanta's most exclusive neighborhoods. The road winds past golf course communities and expansive homes in a heavily wooded area.
