The Covington Police Department is looking for sponsors for its 28th annual Fuzz Run this September.
The run, which takes place on Sept. 10, is the department's largest fundraiser. It raises money for the Police Who Care fund, which helps officers in need, as well as various organizations throughout the year, such as the Special Olympics.
The Fuzz Run is also the largest participatory event in Covington, attracting about 4,000 runners each year. It has been honored as Best Race in Georgia for four years according to the Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series.
The event is in need of sponsors. There are four sponsorship levels available, platinum, gold, silver and bronze.
The platinum level is $5,000 and sponsors will get their name/logo on the front of the Fuzz Run T-shirts, a fixed logo, and a scrolling, full-color logo on the electronic scoreboard. The logo will also appear on the Pace Street banner and on a fixed sign on the entrance to the field and a booth at the event expo.
Gold level funding of $1,000 gets the sponsor its logo on the back of the race shirt (top billing), a logo on the electronic scoreboard and on a fixed sign on the entrance to the field and a booth at the expo on the date of the event.
Silver sponsorship is $500 and those sponsors will get their logo on the back of the race shirt, a logo on the electronic scoreboard and on a fixed sign on the entrance to the field.
The bronze sponsorship is $300 and will get the logo on the back of the shirt and text on the scrolling scoreboard.
