The Newton County School System will hold a financial aid meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Newton High School. Parents and seniors from all three high schools are invited to attend. School officials will be on hand to discuss financial aid and help families determine how to pay for college. Additionally, all local scholarship information has been posted at the Newton County School System website, www.newtoncountyschools.org, under both the "student" and "parent" tab. Many of these scholarships have a Feb. 1 deadline.
