COVINGTON, Ga. – Investigators with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information about a Monday shooting that left one man wounded.
According to an NCSO report, deputies were dispatched to Bentley Place Way around 8 p.m. Dec. 4 on a report of a shooting.
The victim told deputies that he, a family member and a friend were in his vehicle and when he turned into the neighborhood the vehicle behind them pulled up next to his vehicle and began shooting.
A sheriff’s office spokesperson said the lone victim was transported to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his thigh.
